About AeonsEdge

Thanks for visiting! Our desire here is to stimulate thinking about the meaning of life, and to explore how Jesus Christ offers ultimate answers in the search for joy, hope and peace.

AeonsEdge is a word we made up to describe our view of life. The word "Aeon" is related to a Greek word that means eternity. Thus, AeonsEdge is a reminder that we live on the edge of eternity. This is not meant to be a sad truth but a joyful one.

The Bible says, "God has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end" (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Have you ever felt like there was something more to life than this world? That is God's design. He has put eternity in our hearts. We were made for something more than "eat and drink, for tomorrow we die."

The Bible also says we live at "the culmination of the ages" - at the edge of eternity, if you will (see 1 Corinthians 10:11). There is one monumental event that marks this culmination of the ages: Almost two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ died on a cross outside of Jerusalem and rose from the dead three days later, in order to open the way for a sinful humanity to be restored to a holy God (see Hebrews 9:26; Luke 22:47-24:12). This is the gospel or good news of Jesus Christ. We believe that life at the edge of eternity has true beauty and meaning because of the death and resurrection of Jesus.
